What you actually get for €50

At €50 it's almost always one of two things: (a) a template with a changed name and colour, or (b) an AI-generated image someone touched up in Photoshop. Neither is necessarily bad, as long as you know what you're getting.

The problem appears when you try to place the logo on a business card, when you need a black-and-white version for a stamp, or when you want it on a larger banner. A template or AI image has limited formats, often isn't in vector and has no variants for dark backgrounds. After six months you have to redo the logo.

What €200–€500 brings

This is the range where you get a uniquely designed logo with 2–3 different concepts, 1–2 rounds of revisions and a final package: the logo in vector format (SVG, PDF, EPS), colour and black-and-white variants, and usage guidelines for different backgrounds.

The real difference is visible here: the designer listens to your business, your story, your customers. They create a concept that truly reflects who you are, not a random symbol.

A logo isn't jewellery, it's the first signal of whether you look serious enough to trust.

When to pay €600+ for a complete brand identity

If it's a business that will see thousands of customers per year (hair salon, store, restaurant, larger trade), you need a complete brand identity: logo + colour palette + fonts + business card + stamp + email signature + social media templates + brandbook (a short guide to proper use).

This €600+ investment saves hours of work every month when you want to create a post or a new business card, or present an offer, everything is already prepared in your style.

Common mistakes

'I'll just make the logo myself in Canva.' You can. But Canva users build logos from the same elements, which is why half of the Slovenian hair salons on social media look the same. To customers, your logo looks like generic noise, they don't remember it.
